From Kerry Airport, follow the N22 to Killarney and continue on the N71 to Bantry. Go through the town and continue for 6km in the direction of Cork until you reach a wide road junction where the main R586 sweeps to the left. Turn right to stay on the N71 following signposts to Ballydehob and Skibbereen. Leave the road after just 1km, immediately after a small bridge and take the signposted right turn to Ballycommane. Follow this small road for about 2.5km until Ballycommane House comes up on your right (main entrance shown right), just past a Rugby pitch on the left.
From Cork city and airport, follow the N71 to Bandon. Now you can either take the slow, but scenic coastal route by continuing on the N71, or take the faster R586 through Dunmanway and Drimoleague.
Option 1: If you come on the N71, continue past Skibbereen in the direction of Bantry. Turn left at the signpost to Ballycommane. Follow this small road for about 2.5km until Ballycommane House comes up on your right, just past a Rugby pitch on the left.
Option 2: If you come on the R586, turn sharp left on the N71 signposted to Ballydehob/Skibbereen. Leave the N71 after just 1km, immediately after a small bridge and take the signposted right turn to Ballycommane. Follow this small road for about 2.5km until Ballycommane House comes up on your right, just past a Rugby pitch on the left.
From Durrus, leave the main road next to the Longboat Bar and follow a small road (signed L 4705) past Wiseman’s for about 4km until Ballycommane House comes up on your left.
